Most campus ministries are financially on the margin, and the UEC is no exception.  The reason is simple enough: unlike parish churches, we don't have a base of long-time contributing parishoners. The people we serve are strapped for cash, and they move on after a short time. 

Is the UEC a cause worth supporting?  You bet!  College years are often crucial in setting the course of one's life. For many, these are the years that define their career paths, where they will live, and whom, if anyone, they will marry. And these are also the years that often prescribe the course of one's faith journey, determining whether you become an active member of a religious community or turn away from the church.

Coming into contact with a vital campus ministry can have a strong influence on future participation in the church.  Many UEC alumni have become committed members of church communities throughout Minnesota, the country, and the world. They have carried into their faith lives habits they learned at the UEC--rigorous thought, a commitment to service, and a welcoming spirit.  The UEC has also been an important developer of clergy for the Diocese of Minnesota and elsewhere.

How to Help
You can contribute to the UEC through either a one-time contribution or a continuing pledge.  Any and all amounts are welcome! Here are some ideas for giving:

• $50 buys the fixings for dinner following a Sunday evening service.$25 a week for Wednesday lunch following the prayer service. $75 feeds worshipers for a whole week.
  
• $40 a month pays for this website and the UEC's e-ministry.
  
• $200 a month from ten people would provide lights, phones, heat, etc.
• If you can't give of your treasure, your time and talent would be appreciated, too.  We have lots of volunteer opportunities!
